Apple Pay with ANZ
Apple Pay makes paying for your everyday purchases quick, secure and convenient. All you need is a compatible Apple device and an ANZ Visa Debit or credit card. Easy.

Security
- Payment authorisation – Payments are securely authorised using Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode.
- Unique identification – When you make a purchase, Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and a unique transaction code.
- Your information isn’t shared – When you use Apple Pay, your card number is never shared with the merchant or saved on your device.
- Fraud monitoring – We have fraud monitoring systems which can detect fraudulent activity using Apple Pay, worldwide 24/7. Remember, don’t share your passcode or let anyone else, including family members, have their biometrics (fingerprint or Face ID) registered to your device while your card is registered with Apple Pay.
What you need
A compatible device
You need a compatible Apple device to use Apple Pay. You’ll also need the latest version of iOS or watchOS.
Plus an ANZ Visa Debit card or ANZ Visa credit card
You need to load an ANZ Visa Debit, ANZ Business Visa Debit or ANZ Visa credit card into Apple Pay to enable purchases.
How to set up Apple Pay
Using goMoney on your iPhone
- Log in to goMoney on your iPhone. Select Payments at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Apple Pay.
- Choose the card or cards you want to add to your Apple Wallet.
- Select Next, then read and agree to the ANZ with Apple Pay Terms and Conditions.
Using Apple Wallet on your iPhone
- Open Apple Wallet on your iPhone. Select the + (plus sign) in the top right corner.
- Select ANZ goMoney under From Apps on Your iPhone.
- Enter your goMoney PIN.
- Choose the card or cards you want to add and select Continue.
- Check the card details, and select Next.
On your Apple Watch
- Make sure your iPhone is paired with your Apple Watch. Compatible iPhones for Apple Watch include iPhone 5s and above.
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Select Wallet & Apple Pay, then Add Credit or Debit Card, then select Next.
- If your card is already on your iPhone, select Add next to the card. To add a new card, select Add Credit or Debit Card and follow the steps to add a new card.
- Select Next, then read and agree to the ANZ with Apple Pay Terms and Conditions.
- For security purposes we may send you a verification code via SMS or ask you to call us.
Making payments
Pay with Face ID
- Double-click the side button.
- Glance at the screen to authorise the payment.
- Hold the top of the phone near the contactless terminal.
- When you see 'Done' and a checkmark on the display your transaction is complete.
Pay with Touch ID
- Hold your iPhone near the contactless terminal with your finger rested on the home button to authorise the payment.
- When you see 'Done' and a checkmark on the display your transaction is complete.
Pay with Apple Watch
- Double-click the side button.
- Hold the face of the watch near the contactless terminal.
- A brief vibration and beep will confirm your transaction is successful.
Lost or stolen device
If your device is lost or stolen, you can mark it as lost or stolen on icloud.com/find.
You must also call us right away on 0800 269 847 (or +64 4 471 0242 from overseas). We will suspend your ANZ card(s) in Apple Pay and may also suspend use of your physical ANZ card(s).
If you find the device and take it out of lost mode, any suspended Apple Pay ANZ card(s) will be restored in the app. Contact us to remove the suspension on your physical card.
