OnlineCode two-factor authentication
OnlineCode is our two-factor authentication. It provides a second layer of security to verify certain transactions or updates in the ANZ goMoney mobile app and ANZ Internet Banking.
How OnlineCode works
When you’re doing certain transactions online, we’ll send a unique OnlineCode by text message to your registered mobile phone. You then enter the OnlineCode in goMoney or Internet Banking. This helps us make sure it’s you making the transaction or requesting a change, and not someone else.
If you're registered for OnlineCode it will be required for:
- Making payments over $10,000 in Internet Banking
- Sending money overseas
- Registering for goMoney
- Adding goMoney to a new mobile or device
- Resetting your goMoney access PIN using the ‘Forgot my PIN’ option.
You can also choose to use it in any or all of the following ways:
- Create or amend an automatic payment
- Add a new or edit an existing payee
- Create a payment to people or companies
- Set a PIN on a card
- Change password
- Log on
- Create a tax payment
- Change contact details
- Change email preferences.
Registering for OnlineCode
You’ll need a New Zealand mobile number to use OnlineCode. To register, log into ANZ Internet Banking, select Your Settings > OnlineCode Registration.
If you don’t have a New Zealand mobile number or live in a low coverage area which makes receiving text messages difficult, call us on 0800 269 348 (or +64 4 470 3142 from overseas, charges may apply).
