Transcript – How to deposit coins using an ATM that has a Coin Deposit Sidecar

Voiceover: In this video we’ll show you how to deposit coins at selected branch ATMs with a coin deposit sidecar.

Some ANZ Smart ATMs allow you to deposit coins directly into an account 

linked to your card or into another ANZ account.

When you arrive at the ATM check the top banner on the screen to make sure this ATM offers, and is currently accepting, coin deposits.

Voiceover: To get started simply insert your card or tap your contactless card on the Tap & PIN sticker.

Then enter your PIN.

You’ll then see the various transaction options available, tap on Deposit.

Voiceover: Check if coin deposits are available.

Voiceover: There are two options for depositing cash – either into an account linked to your card, or into another ANZ account.

First we’ll show you how to deposit into an account linked to your card.

Tap ‘An account on this card’.

Check the processing times meet your needs before making the deposit.

Voiceover: Then tap the Deposit Coins button.

Now tap on the account you want to deposit the money into – for example Cheque, Savings or Credit.

The ATM will then display a wait screen while it checks to see if the account you’ve selected is linked to your card and your PIN is correct.

Voiceover: If you want a receipt of your deposit, tap Print receipt – otherwise tap Balance on Screen or No receipt or balance.

Now it’s time to deposit your money.

Before inserting your coins, use the on-screen checklist to make sure your deposit will be accepted.

Voiceover: Check the maximum number of coins this ATM can accept per transaction.

Remove any coins that are dirty or damaged.

Make sure you count the amount you are depositing.

Voiceover: Place your coins on the tray first, then sweep them into the open coin box. 

The example on screen will show you how to deposit the coins.

Voiceover: You’ll need to wait for your deposit to be counted.

Voiceover: From here, you can Confirm your deposit, Deposit more coins or Return all coins if you’ve changed your mind or want to start again. 

If you’re happy with your deposit, tap Confirm coin deposit and your transaction will be completed.

Voiceover: Don’t forget your receipt if you requested one.

If you want to make another transaction, tap Yes.

If not, tap No and remember to take your card with you.

Voiceover: You can also deposit coins into another ANZ account. 

To do this, tap on Deposit, and then tap Another ANZ account.

Make sure you understand the steps and processing times before making the deposit.

Voiceover: Then tap Enter account details.

Enter the ANZ account number you’re wanting to deposit the money into.

Voiceover: Next, enter reference details for the deposit. This will help the recipient know what the deposit is for. Note, this is optional - you can choose to leave it blank.

Next tap Review details.

Now it’s time to check that your deposit details are correct, including the account number and any references you’ve included.

Voiceover: Note that funds deposited to the wrong account may not be recoverable, so it’s important to double check.

If you need to change the account number, tap Re-enter account number. 

If you need to change the deposit details, tap Edit deposit details.

If everything is correct, tap Deposit Coins.

Before inserting your coins, it’s important to read what’s on the screen.

If you’re happy with your deposit, tap Confirm coin deposit.

Voiceover: If you’d like a record of your transaction, tap Continue with receipt or if not, tap Continue without receipt.

If you’d like to make a different transaction, tap Main Menu. Otherwise tap Finish. 

Make sure you take your card with you and don’t forget your receipt if you requested one.
