ANZ Life and income insurance ‘2 months’ free’ offer
Terms and conditions
Effective date: 19 March 2025
This offer is promoted by ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (“ANZ”) and administered and provided by Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited (“Chubb Life”).
The offer
The offer is a period of 2 months’ free premiums for customers who apply for a new eligible Chubb Life insurance policy, or to increase their cover under an existing eligible Chubb Life policy, through ANZ and who meet the offer criteria below.

Eligible Chubb Life policies
The offer is available on the following Chubb Life policies (“Eligible Policies”) as detailed below:
Life & Living Insurance – new policies
New Life & Living Insurance policies applied for between 12.00am on 19 March 2025 and 11.59pm on 16 April 2025 (“the Campaign Period”) which are issued by Chubb Life by, and in-force at 11.59pm on 31 May 2025 (“the End Date”).
Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business – new policies and increases on existing policies
New Assrance Extra and Assurance Extra Business policies, and increases on existing Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business Policies that were first issued on or after 1 May 2008, applied for between 12.00am on 19 March 2025 and 11.59pm on 31 March 2026 (“the Campaign Period”) and which are issued by Chubb Life by, and in-force at, 11.59pm on 30 April 2026 (“the End Date”).
Increases on existing Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business policies are eligible for this offer if they are applied for and result in (a) the issue of a new cover type or (b) an increase in the sum insured on an existing cover. Increases that are not applied for, and other changes resulting in an increase in premium, are excluded. The issue of new Premium Cover is eligible for this offer, but increases in the premium payable for Premium Cover are excluded.
Applications must be made through ANZ

- Online at anz.co.nz
- By calling ANZ on 0800 269 855, or
- By visiting an ANZ branch.
Replacements etc are excluded
Reinstatements of policies or covers previously cancelled or lapsed, and replacements of existing or similar policies or covers are not included in this offer.
Applications first submitted before the applicable Campaign Period that are (a) resubmitted during the applicable Campaign Period, or (b) that result in a policy being issued before the applicable End Date are also excluded.
Receiving the offer
Policies eligible for the offer will have an amount of premium credited to the policy, which will be applied to any future premiums payable. The amount credited will depend on the premium payment frequency on the policy (at the date the policy or increase is issued) and will be calculated (on the premium for the policy or increase as applicable) as follows:
For Life & Living Insurance:
- For customers paying fortnightly, an amount equal to 5 fortnights’ premium.
- For customers paying monthly, an amount equal to 2 months’ premium.
- For customers paying annually, an amount equal to 1/6th of the annual premium.
For Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business:
- For customers paying weekly, an amount equal to 9 weeks’ premium.
- For customers paying fortnightly, an amount equal to 5 fortnights’ premium.
- For customers paying monthly, an amount equal to 2 months’ premium.
- For customers paying half-yearly, an amount equal to 1/6th of the annual premium.
- For customers paying annually, an amount equal to 1/6th of the annual premium.
Customers paying by direct debit and credit card will automatically have their premium payments adjusted for the free premium offer. Customers paying by other means will be charged the net premium. Other than for customers paying annually in advance, the free premium amount cannot be refunded.
For new policies, the free premium offer only applies to the cover types and cover amounts on the policy on the date the policy is issued. Subsequent increases to cover, or additions of new cover types, after the policy starts are not eligible (unless the increase is also eligible for the offer under these terms and conditions).
For policy increases, the free premium offer applies only to the premium payable for the new cover type or the increased portion of the sum insured.
Important information
The eligible policies are underwritten and administered by Chubb Life.
Decisions about accepting applications and issuing policies or increases are solely the responsibility of Chubb Life and are subject to Chubb Life’s underwriting and assessment criteria.
ANZ and Chubb Life accept no responsibility or liability for any delay in the underwriting or assessment of any application, for applications that are incomplete or defective, or where the policy or increase is not issued until after the applicable End Date.
Chubb Life reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this Offer at any time, which includes but is not limited to ending it early or to extending it.
This offer cannot be combined with any other discount, promotion or offer (including any other Chubb Life free premium offer), except by agreement with Chubb Life.
