What's covered

Comprehensive

  • Cover your car for an agreed value. This is the maximum you'll be paid for your car if the loss or damage is uneconomic to repair or if your car is stolen and not recovered.
  • Legal liability cover for reparation and damages up to $20 million if you accidentally damage someone else’s vehicle or property. 
  • Legal liability cover for up to $1 million for accidental bodily injury to another person.
  • If a chip in your windscreen or window can be repaired, you won’t have to pay an excess. If your windscreen or window must be replaced, you’ll pay an excess. 
  • For vehicles less than one year old that have travelled less than 15,000km, you can opt for a new one of the same make and model if your vehicle is stolen and not recovered, or severely damaged. 
  • Option to reduce your premiums by excluding drivers aged under 25 from your policy (minimum premium applies). 

Optional extras

  • Roadside Assistance gives a 24-hour rescue service for breakdowns, empty fuel tanks, flat tyres and batteries, and other roadside problems.
  • Excess-free windscreen and window glass replacement means you won’t pay an excess for replacement windscreen or window glass claims, unless you’re claiming for any other loss or damage or for legal liability.

 

Third Party, Fire and Theft

  • Cover up to your car’s current market value at the time of loss if it’s stolen and not recovered, or damaged by fire. 
  • Legal liability cover for reparation and damages up to $20 million if you accidentally damage someone else’s vehicle or property.
  • Legal liability cover for up to $1 million for accidental bodily injury to another person.
  • If you're in an accident with an identified uninsured driver, and there's proof you're not at fault, you can get up to the market value of your car or $3,000 (whichever is less).
