Tools to help protect your money
ANZ Card Manager
ANZ Card Manager— in goMoney— and Internet Banking— allows you to:
- Temporarily block your EFTPOS, ANZ Visa Debit and credit cards so no one can use them
- Cancel your card if it's lost or stolen overseas, and order a replacement card (courier charges may apply)
- Set or change your PIN to keep your card secure.
Card settings in goMoney
Control how your ANZ Visa Debit card, credit card and mobile wallet can be used by turning the settings on or off for—:
- Contactless purchases
- Online shopping
- Overseas in-store purchases and ATM withdrawals
- Online gambling.
ANZ Fraud Check
Our fraud monitoring systems and dedicated team constantly review banking activity. If we suspect a fraudulent transaction on your ANZ EFTPOS, Visa Debit or credit card, we may send you a text or email asking you to reply 'Yes' or 'No' to confirm the purchase (without clicking any links).
If your mobile number is from New Zealand (+64) or Australia (+61) and your phone is on and roaming, you can receive and reply to ANZ Fraud Check texts. If you reply from overseas, charges may apply.
For numbers outside of New Zealand or Australia, we'll email you or call if we don't have your email.
Visa 3-D Secure for online purchases
ANZ uses Visa 3-D Secure to provide extra security when you’re making purchases online with your ANZ Visa Debit or credit card.
If you plan to shop online while overseas, make sure you can receive the one-time Visa 3-D Secure passcode on your mobile phone. If you're travelling with:
- Your New Zealand mobile phone – switch on roaming while buying online
- An international number – tell us so we can update your contact details.
Remember to change your phone number back when you return to New Zealand.
